Erin Pottebaum was selected as the recipient of this year’s Rosanne Hopson IMPACT award, which recognizes professionals who have demonstrated inspiring mentorship, partnership, and community in event management. 

Pottebaum has served as a client in the event management Workshop class, an internship supervisor, and guest speaker. 

“My experience with the UI Event Management program has been incredibly rewarding, both professionally and personally, through its collaborative, inspiring, and impactful environment,” she said.  “I am truly honored to receive the Rosanne Hopson Impact Award, as she is someone I have admired for over a decade and whose leadership and values I strive to reflect in my own work and life.”

Erin was nominated by Event Management Certificate student Kyleigh Selepa, a December 2025 graduate.
